With the new and traditional France Euro 2024 having been released We examine the development of France’s kit during the past 20 years.

France has only had three kit companies throughout their history: Le Coq Sportif (1966-72), Adidas (1972-2010) and Nike (2011 to the present).

Adidas France Kits – 2004 Until 2010

From 2004 to their final period as the French kit provider, Adidas did not come out with a new design apart from their final kit. In 2010, the World Cup home kit introduced an unorthodox navy colour that will define future years to come, perhaps in conjunction with Nike.

In the year 2011, Nike took over from Adidas as the official kit manufacturer of France’s national team. French National team. The Nike kits of France are generally popular, with a few becoming quite well-loved (e.g. the 2019 anniversary kit, 2014 and the 2018 World Cup home kits).

One of the notable features of the change in the kits used by France’s national team from 2004 has been the inclusion of colors. The traditional team color scheme is bright Royal blue, white and red. But in recent years, France have worn home kits with a range of diverse shades of blue sometimes even navy.

NIKE’S EURO 2024 KIT IS ALREADY VERY POPULAR AMONG TRADITIONALISTS

In the coming Euro 2024 tournament, Nike will be bringing back France’s iconic blue hues for the home kit with tricolor accents. The kits will also include an iconic, huge animal as the logo.
