update: After two days of speculation Estrela da Amadora teased their new Home kit as well as unveiled a new alliance with Umbro.
It appears to be retro-style that features the Umbro logo on the sleeves and the Umbro team’s red and green colors create a unique design.
This agreement is very unusual in that Umbro is not a well-known company in the Portuguese market. It is likely that the deal is linked to Patrice Evra’s participation in the team, as well as his connection with Umbro’s brand.

Initial (Jun 26):Recently promoted to the Primeira Liga, Estrela da Amadora may be resigning from Lacatoni after only one year of service with the brand.
The social media channels of Lacatoni have uploaded a short video showing their squads for 2023-24, which is in the top level of soccer in Portugal.
The clubs featured in the film are:
- Desportivo de Chaves, continuing the partnership they had last year in which they came in seventh place and scored 46 points.
- Farense is entering their third season of their contract, after a year in which they came in second place in the Segunda Liga, with 69 points, and were promoted automatically.
Estrela da Amadora is not in the clip. in the footage It’s a sign that the team are shifting kit suppliers. The only brand they had was Lacatoni in 2022/23 Segunda Liga and another brand, Claw, in the prior season.
The move can coincide with the purchase of 90 percent of the shares owned by the club by the North American tech firm MYFC which is a firm to which Patrice Evra, the former french international footballer, is a part of. The deal was concluded by the end of the season 2021-22 (so it could occur prior) however, getting the club to PrimeIra Liga may trigger the clause in Lacatoni’s agreement with Estrela which will allow the team to seek out more internationally appropriate allies.
Which do you think? Do you think Estrela da Amadora actually transform from Lacatoni? Or is it simply a media error?
